Anniversary card for Believe– Divas In A Man's World

Thanks to you we’re celebrating our 1-year anniversary at Resorts! A year ago- on May 5th we hit the stage of the Screening Room theater on the 13th floor of Resorts Hotel Casino. What was to be a 12-week run has turned into a year and we couldn’t be happier. We’d like to thank everyone who’s been with us along the way. Our amazing cast of illusionists and dancers. Producer and creative director Steven Andrade. The hardest working and most talented backstage crew and staff in Atlantic City. Our always smiling and gracious ushers.The awesome staff from ProBar. Resorts Casino Hotel for giving us a home. To the many friends we’ve made along along the way. To Dennis Gomes without whom this would never had happened. And to you– our audience whose support and enthusiasm is the reason we’re celebrating our year anniversary. 1 Year Ago– A Look Back

Stage of the historic Screening Room theater 1 year agoEmpty Believe– Divas In A Man's World dressing room With our May 5th 1-year anniversary fast approaching, we’re taking a look back. The top picture is of the historic Screening Room theater on the 13th floor of Resorts Casino Hotel just weeks before our show opened. You’ll notice the video screen and lighting hadn’t yet arrived and what looked like total chaos would soon become the set for Believe– Divas In A Man’s World. The talented and seasoned tech crew at Resorts is second to none.

The bottom picture is of of the show’s director of marketing, Kinley Borden standing in an empty dressing room a month before the show’s premiere. That room is shared by Steven Andrade (‘Cher) and Gary Dee (‘Joan Rivers’) and is filled top-to-bottom with the countless costumes, shoes, wigs and all the makeup needed to make the show one of Atlantic City’s most successful.

We can hardly believe our 1-year anniversary at Resorts is just a week away. Lot’s of changes are in store making Believe– Divas In A Man’s World even more exciting! Our new opening act will feature the ultimate legendary Diva– so amazing we daren’t mention her name aloud. May 5th, 2012 is our 1-year anniversary and our fabulous crew and extraordinary cast is working around the clock to make our show the best yet! Noon, Sunday, May 6th– save the date! To celebrate the 1-year anniversary of our show’s premiere and the opening of Pro Bar (geez, a year already…) Resorts Casino Hotel is having a Diva Bingo Brunch. Join the cast of Believe– Divas In A Man’s World downstairs in the Superstar Theater at noon that Sunday for brunch (only $30 per person  which includes a complimentary Mimosa or Bloody Mary). Oh, and Bingo! This will also be the perfect opportunity to release your inner Diva (you know you want to)– come dressed as your favorite Diva for a chance to win fantastic prizes. Yes, we know, noon might be a little early for some but with Bingo AND Divas– well, that’s worth getting out of bed for. Details here.

First Billboard For Believe– Divas In A Man's World

Where were you 1 year ago? If you were strolling along the boardwalk in front of Resorts Casino Hotel this is what you saw. A billboard featuring a show that few had heard of set to open May 5th. 1 year ago, producer, creative director (and ‘Cher’) Steven Andrade was working 24-hours a day racing to get everything ready for the show’s premiere. Backstage was crazy, the cast and crew working at fever-pitch to get the lighting, music, costumes and props in order. Frank Moore, the show’s choreographer (and ‘Prince’) was testing out and perfecting everybody’s moves.

Flash forward to today and we’re proud and honored to be approaching our 1-year anniversary at Resorts! And it’s all thanks to you– our many friends and fans that have made our show the success it is. What was originally set to run for just 12 weeks has turned into a year and we couldn’t be happier! Mark your calendars for May 5th and plan to attend our special anniversary show. Lot’s of surprises that night, new costumes and routines. And plan on meeting the mother of all Divas– so legendary (and we mean LEGENDARY) we don’t dare spoil the big surprise. May 5th is our 1-year anniversary and the beginning of a whole new era. We couldn’t have done it without you!
